INTEREST

During the 19th century, seamen used to make repairing and caulking at its shores and thus it became known as varadero, from the English careen. They found there a quiet and far-apart place formed by indescribable beautiful beaches.

It was only during the 50īs that new construction projects began to spread with the view to host the owners as resting houses for long periods of holidays.

Now, Varadero is the most important tourist resort in Cuba, gathering the highest number of first rank hotels, mostly four and five-stars.
